The Settler's Home

Although not directly connected to the Cappon House, the Settler's house, located just down the street from the Cappon's, serves as a model for the average, working-class family home during Holland's settlement period, as well as a stark contrast in its simplicity to the grandiose design of the Cappon family home. Built in 1867 by Irish immigrants, the home, though small in size, lays claim to some of Holland's most famous stories. For more information, please visit the Cappon House for the full tour that includes an in-depth look at the Settler's House.
